As a gold ADC that kinda retired from seriously climbing (peaked d4 in the jungle), I really don't find Lucian that difficult. While I agree his skill cap is very, very high, I don't really find his skill floor is that punishing. I have meh mechanics and climbed on my decision making, canceling abilities into autoattacks and weaving in dashes to control your short trade preference doesn't feel that bad. Then again maybe from listening to myself I should just go get diamond.

I kind of have trouble casting the short E to maximize damage output. I find it hard to dash on myself. Can anyone give me tips or methods they use?
You can E mid W. It extends it's range and it's almost like flash W but you use E instead of flash
the burst combo works better if u w auto e auto q instead of q first then e, this way the W doubleshot reduces your e too, If that makes sense

No mention of canceling Q animation? Not many people know about it I think, but if your target you Q dies during the channel, you can start moving and attacking again much sooner than otherwise. IMO, this is most useful in lane phase by AA a minion giving the killing blow, q through the minion on to your target before the minion dies, and then moving on to kill your intended target.
What is the best way to aa quicker? Than clicking the ground?

people who aren't pure noobs the only new piece of information you need is a 9:45
You forgot the W-E combo that makes it easy to chase people down.
Can also add R to the end for the MS boost with your R so it's easier to reposition and chase.
You also forgot a really smooth chasing animation cancel (W-E) which is used to close the gap and allow you to get the ms and the same time through AA and culling

If u use ur E before the shots land the cd is refreshed. This is huge. With 30-40% CDR u can have 3 dashes up at the same time. w-AA-e (before the AA hits) – AA = Dash back up. so for triple dash u do w-AA-e(before AA hits)-AA-q-AA-e (before AA hits)-AA-e
You forgot Q'ing mid E. Can be pretty useful if you need to Q while a skillshot is coming at you or if you need to reposition to Q snipe through minions fast.
